FATHER & WRESTLER RETREAT

 This camp is a 2 night / 3 day retreat that brings dads and their wrestlers (ages 9 & up) together, to grow in their relationship with each other and the Lord.  It is a week-end of fun and learning principles from God’s Word on team work, communication, relationship-building and leadership development.  The camp integrates this instruction for both the father & wrestler, in the context of the sport of wrestling. 

 Registration opens on Friday afternoon, & the camp will run until 12pm on Sunday.

Camp Staff

Lt. Col. Anthony Randall – Our main speaker, Anthony is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, and a retired U.S. Army Lt. Colonel. Anthony is a dynamic leader who served our nation for 24 years as an Army Ranger, a Master Parachutist, and a Chaplain with Delta Force, (the elite special force & tier-one counter-terrorism unit of the U.S. Army, under operational control of the Joint Special Operations Command).  Anthony served our nation on 7 deployments to Iraq, Afghanistan, and Egypt as a combat arms officer and supervisory chaplain in tactical and special operations units. In addition, Anthony has served as a pastor and a chaplain for the Pittsburgh Pirates (MLB team). Anthony has led marriage seminars & family retreats for a number of years with military couples and professional athletes. Today Anthony is the President / Founder of Vanguard XXI, a consulting firm for businesses, professional sport teams, churches, and non-profit organizations, specializing in moral & ethical leadership, character development, and emotional intelligence. He is also a member of the Leadership Board for FCA Wrestling-Georgia. Anthony and his wife, Jeanine, have two sons at home (middle school & high school), and a daughter enrolled at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.

Cliff Harris – A 2x GA state champ; Graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, where he was a 4 year starter on the wrestling team; Captain of the West Point team in 1987 (the only West Point team in history to win the Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Assoc. tournament); 3x placer at the EIWA championships (4th, 3rd, 2nd) & EIWA Finalist in 1987; 2x qualifier for the NCAA Championships.  Cliff served in the U.S. Army as an officer and an Army Aviator. Cliff is a Gulf War Veteran and recipient of numerous battle decorations, including The Air Medal with “V” for valor in Combat Operations during Desert Storm, as well as the Meritorious Service Medal. Today Cliff is a successful businessman and a community wrestling coach in Carrolton, GA. Cliff and his wife, Amy, have 3  grown children, all successfully forging their paths in life.

Tony Van Horn A former NJ state champ; two-year starter for Ohio State University, and a Big Ten placer.  Coach Van Horn coached McEachern H.S. (Powder Springs) to 6 Georgia HS state team championships. Today Tony is a financial planner for the Van Horn Group, at UBS Financial. Tony and his wife, Kelley, have a son & a daughter, (a son in college & their daughter is a college graduate, now in the working world).

Bill Gifford – A 3x placer in the NEIWA championships for Springfield College, & 1x qualifier for the D-II NCAA tournament.  After a year of coaching at Springfield, he wrestled for the Athletes-in-Action from 1976 – 1980, qualifying for the USA Team Training Camp 3 times (2x in freestyle & 1x in Greco-Roman).  Bill has a Master’s of Divinity, & has worked with FCA Wrestling in Georgia since 2008. Bill & his wife of 44 years, Kay, have 4 grown sons and 12 grandchildren.

Cost$350.00/ father & wrestler couple, and $150 for each additional wrestler. 

(Price includes 5 meals, 2 nights lodging, great technique training, lots of fun, T-shirt, & FCA Bible.)

Registration Deadline:  Non-refundable deposit $100.00 due 5/19/2023.

*$25.00 late fee  – after 5/19/23.
