The Heart & Soul

in Wrestling

Our Mission

To lead every coach and athlete into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His church.

Our Vision

To see the world transformed by Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes.

Welcome to FCA Wrestling-Georgia, an outreach of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes!

The vision of FCA Wrestling in Georgia is “to impact the wrestling community for Jesus Christ”. FCA Wrestling started in 2008, and has grown over the years. We now offer four sessions of wrestling camp each summer (2 sessions in North GA, a new partnership camp in South GA, and our Father/Son Camp); wrestling clinics; weekly Bible devotions for teams, (known as “team huddles”); special events like our annual FCA Breakfast at the Georgia H.S. State Wrestling Championships; and mentoring opportunities for coaches.

As of the winter ‘2020, we’ve now shared the Good News of God’s love with over 18,820 coaches & athletes, at wrestling camps, clinics, and special events.  By God’s grace we have seen 2,324 souls make decisions for Christ (1,006 “first-time decisions for Christ”, plus 1,318 young men & coaches who “re-dedicated” their lives to the Lord.  In addition, during the past six years we have averaged over 100 wrestling teams throughout Georgia and the Southeast that are facilitating weekly FCA Team Huddles.  These team huddles average approximately 20 athletes and coaches per week in their team Bible studies during the wrestling season.  Including all our team huddles, plus other ministry events, we have now shared the Gospel with over 20,000 coaches and wrestlers since the start of FCA Wrestling-Georgia in 2008.  By God’s grace, the FCA Wrestling ministry is growing across the nation and the world.  Under the leadership of our national coordinator, Carl Perry, FCA Wrestling now has 14 staff working in eleven states (GA, NC, TN, PA, CA, MO, KS, WA, MI, OH, and KY), plus the Ukraine.

In addition, FCA Wrestling-Georgia has been excited to see the development of a ministry to young women in the world of wrestling.  Women’s Wrestling is growing throughout the USA and around the world.  It is an Olympic sport, and is now sanctioned as a high school sport in a number of states, including Georgia.  In response to this need in Georgia, “FCA Girls Wrestling” was launched in the fall of 2018, under the leadership of Lisa Hankins.  If you are interested in learning more about this outreach effort to the young ladies in wrestling, please visit the “Girls Ministry” tab at the top of our homepage.

We invite you to join us in impacting the world for Jesus Christ, through the influence of athletes and coaches!
